The Legend of King Vaikhanasa: In the ancient city of Champakpuri, there lived a devout king named Vaikhanasa. One night, his ancestors appeared in his dream, distressed and suffering in Naraka (hell). Deeply troubled, the king sought the guidance of learned sages, who advised him to observe the Mokshada Ekadashi fast.
Following their counsel, King Vaikhanasa performed the fast with utmost devotion, worshiping Lord Vishnu. Pleased with his sincerity, Lord Vishnu liberated the king’s ancestors, granting them moksha. Since then, Mokshada Ekadashi has been regarded as a day of immense spiritual power and redemption.
